Laya Gorty is an Indian actress and classical dancer, known for her work in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam films. She was born on October 21, 1981, in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Laya started her career as a child artist and became popular as a lead actress with the film Swayamvaram in 1999. She won several awards for her performances, including Nandi Awards for Swayamvaram, Manoharam, and Preminchu.

Apart from acting, Laya is a trained Kuchipudi dancer and has performed on many stages. She is also a qualified software professional. After getting married in 2006, she moved to the USA but continues to stay connected with the film industry.

After a cameo in Amar Akbar Anthony (2018), she made a celebrated comeback in Thammudu (2025).
