An award-winning cinematographer, Mahendra Shetty is noted for his works in the Bollywood film industry. Having started his career in the film industry as a camera assistant with the magnum opus Devdas in 2002, he made his feature film debut as a cinematographer with Faisla (2005). His other notable film includes Superstar (2008), Udaan (2010), Lootera (2013), and Asha Jaor Majhe (2014), which marked his debut in the Bengali film industry. After eight years, he made his Bollywood comeback with the drama movie Sardar Ka Grandson.
