An Indian film director, Mahesh Babu is noted for his work in Kannada cinema. The director who has worked with several big stars, made his directorial debut with Akash in 2005. Some of his other notable film credits include Arrasu (2007), Abhay (2009), Chiru (2010), Ajith (2014), Crazy Boy (2016) and Athiratha (2017), a Kannada action thriller starring Chetan Kumar, Kabir Duhan Singh and Sadhu Kokila.
