Mallika Prasad is a multi-award-winning director, performer, and the founder of the Actors Ensemble India Forum. With a career spanning over three decades, she has established herself as a versatile force in the arts, working as an actor, director, designer, producer, and educator. She is an FTII-trained actor and a graduate of St. Stephen's College, Delhi, holding double Master's degrees in Acting and Performance Making from the National School of Drama (NSD) and Goldsmiths, University of London.
In the realm of film and television, Mallika gained nationwide acclaim for her breakout performance as "Amma," the central antagonist in Mardaani 3 (2026). Her foundational work includes the title role in Devi Ahilya Bai (2002) and the National Award-winning Kanooru Heggadathi (1999). She is also a prominent figure in Kannada television, having served on the creative teams of major serials and recently playing the lead antagonist in the mega-serial Nagakannike. Her recent screen credits include Killer Soup, Aspirants, and the festival-winning film she wrote and directed, For My Ela (2025).
On stage, her work includes the award-winning production of Translations and her solo show Hidden in Plain Sight, a winner at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A preeminent voice expert, she is a Certified Fitzmaurice Voicework teacher and serves as the South Asia Regional Head for the Fitzmaurice Voice Institute. Through her initiatives Vachika Voicework and her content studio Tameer e Khwaab, she continues to produce documentaries and direct brand campaigns, blending her deep theatrical roots with modern visual storytelling.
