Mangal Singh Dhillon is an Indian actor and producer who comes from a Jat Sikh Family. Having started his career in the entertainment business as a TV actor with Biniyaad in 1986, he eventually ventured into acting in feature films. His maiden appearance on the silver screen was in Khoon Bhari Maang (1988) where he played the role of an advocate. His other notable film credits include Zindagi Ek Juaa (1992), Train to Pakistan (1998), and Border (1997). His 2017 release includes Toofan Singh, a Punjabi drama directed by Baghal Singh. Apart from acting, Mangal Dhillon has also produced many films and documentaries, which are made under his own production banner, which he formed with his wife, Ritu Dhillon. The winner of several prestigious awards including Baba Farid Award, which is given by the Punjab Government and an Outstanding Achievements Award from the Punjab Chief Minister in 2006, the actor-cum-producer has made films like A Day at the Golden Temple, The Greatness of Sikhism, The Inseparables, and Sarvnaash, a documentary film about drug abuse.
