Manika Sharma is an Indian filmmaker and writer whose debut movie The Wishing Tree focuses on creating an awareness about the significance of trees. After six years of attempting to make the movie, in 2014, Manika finally received a go-ahead from independent filmmaker Raajaysh Chetwal. The movie, starring Shabana Azmi, Varsha Agnihotri, Rajit Kapur, and Jayati Bhatia in the lead, attempts to symbolise the grace of nature among children.
