Popularly known by his stage name Maniyanpilla Raju, Sudheer Kumar is a popular Malayalam film actor and producer. He made his debut in 1976 with Mohiniyaattam. Since then, he has acted in over 400 films and has cemented his position as one of the most reliable character actors of Malayalam film industry. He has given several memorable performances in films like Maniyanpilla Adhava Maniyanpilla (1981), Boeing Boeing, Aram + Aram Kinnaram, Akkare Ninnoru Maran (1985), Yuvajanotsavam, Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu (1986), Sarvakalashala (1987), Mukunthetta Sumitra Vilikkunnu (1988), CID Unnikrishnan B.A., B.Ed. (1994), Spadikam, Aadyathe Kanmani (1995), and Lelam (1997) to name a few. As a producer also, he gave some super hits like Aye Auto (1990), Anandabhadran (2005), Chotta Mumbai (2007), Pavada (2015), Shikkari Shambhu (2018), Panchavarnathatha (2018), My Story (2018), Finals (2019) and Ganagandharvan (2019).
