Mannu Bhandari is a prominent Indian author, dialogue writer and a story writer born on 3 April 1931, in Bhanpura, Madhya Pradesh, India. She married famous Hindi writer Rajendra Yadav, with whom she co-wrote the book, Ek Inch Muskaan. The Hindi movie Rajnigandha (1974), based on her short story Yahi Sach Hai won the Filmfare Best Movie Award in 1974. She wrote dialogues for film, Swami (1977) and also wrote the story of 1986 film, Samay Ki Dharaa.
