Award-winning American music composer and lyricist Marc Shaiman is best-known for his collaborations with lyricist and director Scott Wittman for a series of Broadway musical projects such as Smash (2002), Hairspray (2007), Catch Me If You Can (musical) (2011) and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2011). He has also served as an independent composer for some of most notable films like Beaches (1988), When Harry Met Sally (1989), Misery (1990), A Few Good Men (1992), Sister Act (1992), Sleepless in Seattle (1993), The American President (1995), The First Wives Club (1996), and The Bucket List... (2007). His other projects include Mary Poppins, Mary Poppins Returns (2018).
