Marcia Gay Harden is an American actress. Her debut film was Not Only Stranger (1979). She appeared in popular television shows including Simon & Simon, Kojak and CBS Summer Playhouse. Marcia worked in The Imagemaker (1986), Disney sci-fi comedy film Flubber (1997), supernatural drama Meet Joe Black (1998) and Labor of Love (1998). She won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film Pollock (2000). In 2003, she was nominated for the same category for Mystic River.

In 2000, she appeared in the action-adventure movie Space Cowboys, starring Tommy Lee Jones and Clint Eastwood in prominent roles. She was critically acclaimed for her role in blockbuster films including Into The Wild (2007), The Mist (2007), Home (2008) and Whip It (2009). She provided her voice for the character of Aamah in Noah`s Ark: The New Beginning (2012). Later, Marcia played the role of Grace Trevelyan Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey (2015), Fifty Shades Darker (2017) and Fifty Shades Freed (2018).
