Maria Concepcion Alonso Bustillo, widely recognized as Maria Conchita Alonso, is a Venezuelan-American actress, singer-songwriter as well as philanthropist. She started out participating in beauty pageants and then went on to become an actress and singer. She made her debut in 1978 and has since then amassed more than 100 credits in theatre, film and television appearances. Some of her notable works include Touch and Go (1986), Extreme Prejudice (1987),
The Running Man (1987), Colors (1988), The House of the Spirits (1993), Caught (1996) and The Lords of Salem (2012). As a singer, Alonso contributed to the soundtrack of Scarface (1983). She has received three nominations for Grammy awards as well.
