Having received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stony Brook University and a Masters of Fine Arts in costume design from the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University in 1987, Mark Bridges is an American costume and production designer. He made his debut as a costume designer in 1992 with the horror movie, Waxwork II: Lost in Time. Bridges is known for his work with director Paul Thomas Anderson, right from his first movie Hard Eight in 1996. He has worked with Anderson on movies like Boogie Nights (1997), Magnolia (1999), Punch-Drunk Love (2002), There Will Be Blood (2007), The Master (2012) and Inherent Vice (2014).

Apart from that Bridges has also worked on movies like Can`t Hardly Wait (1998), Thursday (1998), Blow (2001), 8 Mile (2002), The Italian Job (2003), Yes Man (2008), Greenberg (2010), The Fighter (2010), Silver Linings Playbook (2012), Captain Phillips (2013) and Jason Bourne (2016). Bridges has received several accolades for his work, including being nominated at the 87th Academy Awards in the Best Costume Design category for his work in Inherent Vice. In 2017, Bridges worked on Paul Thomas Anderson`s latest movie, Phantom Thread and was nominated in the Best Costume Design category at the 90th Academy Awards. His next few ventures include blockbuster hits like Joker (2019) and Marriage Story (2019). In 2020 he worked on the period drama News of the World.
