An Alumnus of the London Film School and the former president of the American Cinema Editors, Mark Goldblatt is an American veteran film editor and director. The two-time Saturn Award winner for Best Editing, made his debut with director Joe Dante`s cult `B` horror movie, Piranha (1978). Over the years, Goldblatt has worked in more than 30 movies. Some of this most notable film credits include The Howling (1981), Halloween II (1981), The Terminator (1984), Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Commando (1985), RoboCop (1987), Predator 2 (1990), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), The Last Boy Scout (1991), True Lies (1994), Starship Troopers (1997), Armageddon (1998), Hollow Man (2000), Exorcist: The Beginning (2004), Bad Boys II (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), Case 39 (2009), Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013), and Chappie (2015). Goldblatt was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Film Editing category at the 64th Academy Awards for his work on director James Cameron`s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. He shared the nomination with fellow editors Conrad Buff IV and Richard A. Harris. As a director, Goldblatt has the 1988 action-horror movie, Dead Heat and action-drama, The Punisher (1989). The Punisher was based on the Marvel Comics` vigilante superhero of the same name.

In 2018 Goldblatt served as an editor on director Eli Roth`s vigilante thriller, Death Wish. The movie has Bruce Willis in the lead and is a remake of the 1974 movie of the same name by Michael Winner. Both the movies are based on Brian Garfield`s 1972 novel of the same name.
