Prior to making his independent editorial debut, Livolsi had gained extensive experience as an assistant editor courtesy of his work in movies like Crimes and Misdemeanours (1989), Heaven and Earth (1993), Deconstructing Harry (1997), Meet Joe Black (1998) and Almost Famous (2000).
