Martin Donovan is an American film actor best known for his appearance in Hal Hartley movies. His notable acting credits include Trust (1990), Surviving Desire (1991), Simple Men (1992), Amateur (1994) and Flirt (1995). In 1998, he played the role of Jesus Christ in the comedy film The Book of Life. Later, he made his directorial and writing debut with the drama movie Collaborator (2011). His other notable acting credits include The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2013), Ant-Man (2015), Tenet (2020) and Redemption Day (2021).
