Martin Prakkat is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter and producer who works in the Malayalam film industry. He made his directorial debut with the 2010 Mammootty starrer Best Actor, which he also wrote. In 2013, Martin directed Dulquer Salmaan in the comedy film American Born Confused Desi (ABCD), which was a commercial success. The writer-director reunited with Dulquer for his third film Charlie, which garnered near-universal critical acclaim, was a big box office success and earned Martin the Kerala State Film Award for Best Direction and Best Screenplay. Notable film credits as a producer include Charlie (2015) and Udaharanam Sujatha (2017).
