Master Nissar was an actor, singer and production manager, and a celebrated personality in the film industry during the talkie eras. He became one of the first ever Bollywood stars. He often worked alongside Jehan Ara Kajjan, Shirin Farhad (1931) and Laila Majnoon (1931) being some of their country-wide successes. Some of his well known works include movies like Kisan Kanya (1937), Bahu Begum (1967) and Shirin Farhad (1931).
