Early LifeBorn on 8 October 1970 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Kent Telfer Damon, a stockbroker, and Nancy Carlsson-Paige, a professor, Damon is the second of four siblings. In his toddler years, his parents divorced and Damon, along with his elder brother, was raised by their mother. Damon attended Cambridge Alternative School and later went to Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. While still at school, he became best friends with Ben Affleck, who had a major artistic influence on him. Damon went to Harvard University to study English but soon dropped out to pursue a career in acting. During his days at Harvard, he wrote the first draft of Good Will Hunting as an assignment for his English class.
Personal LifeDamon tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Argentine-born Luciana Bozan Barroso, in December 2005. They had met when Damon was shooting for Stuck On You in Miami, where she working as a bartender. The couple has three daughters: Isabella, Gia Zavala, and Stella Zavala.
