Matt Villines was an American film and television director who was a part of the comedy directing duo named Matt & Oz (Osmany Rodriguez). Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the 5th of June 1977, Matt would meet his future directing partner Osmany "Oz" Rodriguez while studying at the Los Angeles Film School. Matt`s directorial debut came with the T.V. series God`s House, which he co-directed with his long term partner Osmany Rodriguez. In 2014, whilst working on the movie Brother Nature, Matt was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and the disease had reached an advanced stage. Matt unfortunately passed away on July 9, 2016, at the age of 39, leaving behind his spouse Linda Villines. His movie Brother Nature was released later that year in September. The movie was dedicated in memory of Matt Villines.
