Matthew Goode is an English actor born in Exeter, Devon. He was educated at Exeter School, followed by the University of Birmingham and London`s Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. He made his American film debut opposite Mandy Moore in the romantic comedy Chasing Liberty (2004). He then went on to star in Woody Allen`s thriller Match Point (2005), Ol Parker`s romantic comedy Imagine Me and You (2006) and the drama film Brideshead Revisited (2008).

Soon after, he appeared in Zack Snyder`s superhero film Watchmen (2009). Goode`s other notable films include A Single Man (2009), Leap Year (2010) and Stoker (2013). He was last seen in, The Imitation Game (2014). In 2019, his acting credit includes Downtown Abbey, a drama film directed by Michael Engler.
