Italian cinematographer Mauro Fiore is best known for his Oscar-winning work in the James Cameron film Avatar (2009). In a career extending across three decades, he has served as the DOP for over 25 feature films. Notable among these are the crime thriller Training Day (2001), the sci-fi thriller The Island (2005), the action-comedy thriller Smokin` Aces (2006) and the action movie The A-Team (2010).
More recently, Fiore helmed the camera department for the vigilante action thriller The Equalizer (2014), the sports drama Southpaw (2015) starring Jake Gyllenhaal, the western action film The Magnificent Seven (2016) and the superhero film Dark Phoenix (2019).
