Hailing from Aurangabad, Mayoori Kango is an Indian actress who is best remembered for appearing in the 1996 romantic movie Papa Kehte Hai opposite Jugal Hansraj. She completed her schooling from St. Xavier's High School, Aurangabad and went on to study at Deogiri College in Aurangabad. Her mother is a theatre artist, which is why acting always interested Mayuri.

While she was on a visit to Mumbai with her mother, director Saeed Akhtar Mirza happened to notice her and offered her a role in his film Naseem. While she initially declined the role since she still had to appear for her HSC, the director managed to convince her and she debuted in 1995. Impressed with her performance in her debut movie, Mahesh Bhatt approached her to play the female lead in Papa Kehte Hai. Although the movie wasn't much of a critical or commercial hit, her performance garnered her praise and widespread recognition.

She then went on to feature in movies like Betaabi, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, and Badal. She then married Aditya Dhillon, an NRI, and moved to New York with him. While there, she studied at the City University of New York-Baruch College - Zicklin School of Business, graduating with an MBA in Marketing and Finance. Currently, she is associated with Performics, a digital media agency part of the French Group Publicis, as its Managing Director in Gurgaon.
