Meenal has been acting in theatre for last 50 years. She has performed in Gujarati, Hindi, English and also one Marathi play. She has featured in mainstream as well as experimental. Meenal has done some one-woman acts as well as story-telling performances. She has done theatre for women`s movement and has also written songs for the same.She has been a part of poetry recitation programs. Meenal has been on the advisory panel member of the Film Certification Board. She received an acting award for the role of Kasturba in the play `Gandhi Viruddh Gandhi.
