Melanie Oliver is a New Zealand film and television editor. She started out as an editor on television, working on shows like Bob and Rose, Bodily Harm and Elizabeth I before making her feature film editorial debut with Brick Lane (2007). Since then, she has worked on films like Jane Eyre (2011), Les Miserables (2012), The Danish Girl (2015) and Bridget Jones's Baby (2016), with her work in Les Miserables earning Oliver several accolades and nominations. Her work in the 2006 television drama Longford earned Oliver a BAFTA TV Award for Best Editing. Notable television credits also include Mansfield Park (2007), John Adams (2008) and The Special Relationship (2010). Other significant film credits include Anna Karenina (2012), Before I Go to Sleep (2014) and the 2017 biographical comedy drama Victoria and Abdul.
