Michael Apted is an English director, producer and actor. He has directed more than 70 films and series. He made many TV series like Coronation Street, Married in America and Rome. His first film came in 1972 with The Triple Echo. His notable films areThe World Is Not Enough, The Chronicles of Narnia and Gorillas in the Mist. He won DGA Award in 2006 for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Rome series. In 2012, he was honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at Dubai International Film Festival. He was elected as president of theDirectors Guild of America in 2003.
