Michael Dougherty is an American writer, director and producer who is well-known for his work in Hollywood. He made his directorial debut with Trick `r Treat (2007) and is also known for his work on Bryan singer`s scripts for X2 (2005) and Superman Returns (2006). Apart from this he is credited with directing the horror film Krampus (2015) and also co-wrote the script for X-Men: Apocalypse (2016). As of 2019, Dougherty has written as well as directed the Godzilla sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). His other projects include Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).
