Michael Haneke is an Austrian film director and screenwriter. He made his debut as a television director in 1974. He directed his first feature film, The Seventh Continent, in 1989. Some of his film credits include Funny Games, The Piano Teacher, Amour and The White Ribbon. Haneke won the BAFTA Film Award for Best Film not in the English Language for the movie, The While Ribbbon. He has won 93 awards.
