Best remembered for his portrayal of Dr. Daniel Jackson in the military science fiction Stargate SG-1 and Dr. Charles on the medical drama Saving Hope, Michael Shanks is a Canadian actor, writer, and director. Having appeared in all five series of the Stargate franchise, the actor also featured in movies such as Suspicious River, The Pastor’s Wife, Elysium, and Red Riding Hood among many others.
