About
Best known for her character roles in Hollywood, Michelle Pfeiffer is an American actress and producer. Earlier cast as the `token pretty girl` in films, she made her debut with Grease 2 in 1982. However, she actively took a decision to do serious roles and made her breakthrough in the industry with Scarface (1983), where she played a gangster moll.

Her conviction in the role led to Pfeiffer being cast in Married to the Mob (1988), for which she received her first Golden Globe. Moving on to films like Tequila Sunrise (1988), and Dangerous Liaisons (1988), she started her own production company called Via Rosa Productions, which ran for 10 years. Widespread popularity came her way when she starred as Catwoman in Tim Burton`s Batman Returns in 1992, and her portrayal of the character has been considered the most iconic till date.

Her other notable works include Dangerous Minds (1995), A Thousand Acres (1997), What Lies Beneath (2000), I Am Sam (2001), Stardust (2007), Hairspray (2007), I Could Never Be Your Woman (2007), Personal Effects (2009), Cheri (2009), New Year`s Eve (2011), Dark Shadows (2012), Mother! (2017), Murder on the Orient Express (2017), before she was a part of Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019).

  • "I never had a heart-throb or a band I loved, but I had Michelle Pfeiffer, so I tried to copy what my friends would do and had magazine pictures cut out in frames. She was the reason I wanted to be an actor."
