Mike Carey is a comic book writer, novelist, and screenplay writer. He, first, started writing for the British science-fiction comic 2000 AD, where he conceptualized and wrote the original series Th1rt3en and Carver Hale. A well-known comic book writer, Carey has been associated with Lucifer, Hellblazer, X-Men: Legacy, Ultimate Fantastic Four, and Age of X. In 2014, he wrote the science-fiction novel The Girl With All The Gifts, which, after receiving critical acclaim, was announced to be made into the movie. In 2016, Colm McCarthy directed the movie with the same name, with Sennia Nanua, Gemma Arterton and Glenn Close playing pivotal roles.
