Conferred the Padmashri in 2014 for his work in global theatre, actor-director-playwright and Hyderabad`s celebrated theatre revivalist Mohammad Ali Baig is known for his plays that are larger than life with an accent on visual aesthetics as much as meaningful content. He is also the recipient of various global honours in the USA, UK, France, Canada, and Turkey. His plays have been the toast of almost every major Indian theatre festival as well as international theatre festivals across continents. His previous five productions have been premiered in London. A World Premiere at Edinburgh Fest and an invitation to the University of Oxford to perform and speak have been some rare honours he has received. Besides being on the juries of international film festivals, he is regularly invited to speak at prestigious universities abroad. He made his onscreen debut in 2017 with Tamil blockbuster `Aruvi` followed by `Cobra`, Sardar, Rainbow, and `Kalinga` and web series `In the Name of God`, Aha Naa Pellanta, and `She - Season 2`.
