Mohan started his work in the entertainment industry as an editor. His first feature was Iniya in 2009. He has worked on movies like Baanadi and Preethi Kitabu, among others. He has even written dialogues for movies like Hudugaru and Yare Koogadali. He worked as an assistant director in Director's special and he marked his directorial debut with Aadipurana in 2018.
