A popular English dramatist, director and actor, Moira Buffini started her acting career as a theater artist and she made her professional stage debut with Jordan (1992), which she had co-written with Anna Reynolds. She subsequently starred in many other plays, few of which were written by herself. After working in theater for more than 15 years, Buffini ventured into writing in feature films and she made her debut with Tamara Drewe in 2010. Her other notable film credits include Handbagged (2010), Jane Eyre (2011), Byzantium (2013) and Viceroy`s House (2017), a British-Indian historical drama directed by Gurinder Chadha and Doctor Who (2017).
