Vivek Sharma is a trained dancer and a film and theatre actor. He started out in 2007 through a film course and later joined the Asmita Theatre Group. As a freelance actor, he made appearances in several commercials and plays, working under prominent directors like K. K. Raina, Kuljeet Singh, Ravi Sharma, AnuragArora and Prabhjot Singh. Some of his plays include The Last Salute, Ambedkar Aur Gandhi, Court Martial, Rumours, and The Odd Couple.

The Roots Casting, is a casting agency started by Vivek when he took up the role of casting director. Recent ventures include the web series Bhak (2019) and Love Bites (2019). As an actor, he went on to play a role in Raanjhanaa (2013) and Tamasha (2015). His 2020 releases include the film Yahan Sabhi Gyaani Hai.
