Honnasandra Narasimhaiah Chandrashekar, known popularly as Mukhyamantri Chandru or MLA Chandru, is an Indian actor and politician. He predominantly works in Kannada theatre and film. He got the title of Mukhyamantri after a play of the same name in which he played the titular character. A character actor, Chandru has appeared in over 500 films. Since his debut in Chakravyuha, he has starred in notable movies including Ganeshana Maduve (1990), Shiva Sainya (1996), Simhadriya Simha (2002) and Idu Saadhya (1989). His 2021 releases include Munduvareda Adhyaya.
