About
Kenny Simon, who is better known as Munna, is an Indian film actor, who is predominantly associated with the Tamil and Malayalam film industries. Born in Chennai and brought up in Kochi, Munna studied physiotherapy at School of Medical Education Angamaly, which he went on to practice for over a year in Chennai. However, after a year, he decided to pursue his dream and passion for acting, making his debut in 2003 with the Malayalam movie Gaurisankaram, following which he made his Tamil debut in the same year with Pallavan.

He initially debuted as Ashwin but thought the name to be unlucky for him, since his initial movies, Pallavan, Jananam, and Unnai Enakku Pudichirukku, were declared to be massive flops, and then adopted the name Munna. He gained recognition for his work in the low-budget movie Silandhi in 2008, which he followed up with Kandein Kadhalai, and also managed to bag a supporting role in Mani Ratnam`s Raavanan in 2010. Among his other movie credits are Banking Hours 10 to 4, Kutteem Kolum, Achaaram, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, which marks his Bollywood debut, and Dhruva Natchathiram.
