About
Nadeem-Shravan, a musical duo that comprises Nadeem Akhtar Saifi and Shravan Kumar Rathod, is considered to be one of Bollywood's most successful music composers of the 1990s. Although they had started their career in 1975 with the Bhojpuri movie Dangal, their breakthrough came with the Mahesh Bhatt-directed romance Aashiqui in 1991, which won them their very first Filmfare Award for Best Music Director.

After the success of Aashiqui, the duo was flooded with innumerable offers and went on to compose the music of movies such as Saajan, Phool Aur Kaante, Deewana, Junoon, Damini, Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke, Raja, Raja Hindustani, Pardes, Dhadkan, and Raaz. Although Nadeem moved to the UK in 1997, the two continued to compose music together up until 2005, when the two officially split. Nadeem started his own perfume and bag company while Shravan went on to focus on the musical careers of his sons Sanjeev Rathod and Darshan Rathod, who have formed a duo Sanjeev-Darshan.
