Namrata Rao is an Indian film editor who debuted in 2006 with the short film Baba Baba Black Beard. After working as an editor for a few documentaries, she worked on Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), and then moved on to Ishqiya (2010), Band Baaja Baraat (2010), and is well-known for working as an actress as well as an editor in the film Love, Sex Aur Dhokha, for which she received the Filmfare Award for Best Editing in 2011. The critically acclaimed Kahani (2012) enabled her to win a National Film Award for Best Editing and also a Filmfare Award before she dove into 2 States.
