Nathan Fillion is a Canadian-American actor and voice actor popularly known for the role of Captain Malcolm Reynolds in the acclaimed TV series Firefly aired on Fox. He reprised his role in the film continuation of the series, titled Serenity (2005). However, Fillion’s claim-to-fame was his role as Joey Buchanan in the American soap opera One Life to Live. He was also appreciated for his performance in the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl wherein he essayed the role of Johnny Donnelly.

In 1998, he appeared in Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan essaying the role of Pvt. James Frederick ‘Minnesota’ Ryan. Fillion’s voice role credits include direct-to-video movies such as Wonder Woman (2009), and Green Lantern: Emerald Knights (2011). In 2017, he voiced the character of Sterling in the movie Cars 3.
