Navtej Hundal was an Indian actor who is best known for his role as the Home Minister in the Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019). He was praised by many for his performance in the blockbuster film. After graduating from the National School of Drama, in 1986 the actor made his debut through the film Angaaray. He also made significant appearances in Khal Nayak (1993), Tere Mere Sapne (1996), and The Whisperers (2009). Apart from acting, Navtej also gave acting classes for aspiring actors for a period of time. In April 2019, the actor breathed his last. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. His older daughter Avantika is a popular television actress, starring in shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (2016-2019).
