Neethu Shetty is an Indian film actress, who has featured predominantly in Kannada movies, along with a few Tulu and Malayalam films. She was seen in a few serials before making her entry into the movie industry with the 2004 film Yahoo, which turned out to be an average grosser. Her first commercial success came with the comedy film Joke Falls in 2004, followed by several hit movies like Photographer (2006), Koti Chennaya (2007), Gaalipata (2008) and Krishna Nee Late Aagi Baaro (2009). One of her other successful films was Beru, which received National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada and Karnataka State Film Award for second Best Film. For her performance in director Anand P Raju`s Tulu movie Koti Chennaya, she won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. For her next film Gaalipata, she was nominated with the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress - Kannada. She has also made special appearances in several movies like Crazy Star, Fair & Lovely, Abhinetri, and Ring Road. Her 2017 venture includes the role of ACP Shivani in the Kannada drama Mombathi, which stars Neethu as one of the leads opposite Rachana Smith, Sangeetha and Ravi Kumar, under the direction of Srinivas Koushik. She is associated with the 2018 Kannada drama 1888 directed by Sourabh Shukla.
