Veteran American cinematographer Newton Thomas Sigel has filmed around 40 features and a number of documentaries in the course of a four-decade-long career, and has won a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and the Grand Prize at the USA Film Festival. He is best known for his work in critically acclaimed movies like The Usual Suspects (1995), Drive (2011) and the X-Men film franchise. Of these, his work in the action drama Drive (2011) earned Sigel a Satellite Award nomination for Best Cinematography that year.
Other significant film credits include the black comedy Three Kings (1999), the biographical spy comedy Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), the superhero film Superman Returns (2006), the historical thriller Valkyrie (2008), X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) and the biographical drama Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) and Marshall (2018).
