She made her TV acting debut with the history crime show, Urban Legends (2007-2011). Harrison's other TV appearances include shows like Misfits (2009-2013), Hollyoaks (1995- ), My Mad Fat Diary (2013), Doctors (2000- ), Cuffs (2015), and Call the Midwife (2012- ). She also had recurring roles in Emmerdale (1972- ) as DI Fletcher, and in Mayday (2013) as Amethyst. Harrison's film credits also include the crime drama My Brother the Devil (2012) and the disaster drama The Impossible (2012).
