Entering the film industry with the 2016 movie Exfil, Nicolai Fuglsig is a film director and photojournalist. Having graduated from the Danish School of Journalism, Fuglsig won the Young Photographer award from the International Center of Photography in 1999. Fuglsig also won the Kodak prize for Best Photographer under 30. In 2006 he won the Gold Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, and the Grand Prix at the Midsummer Awards in London for his Sony Bravia commercial. In 2018 Fuglsig directed Chris Hemsworth, Elsa Pataky, Michael Shannon and William Fichtner in the action movie, 12 Strong.
