Nihal Parashar is a Mumbai-based writer working across literature, screenwriting, theatre, and audio storytelling. His writing is shaped by everyday Indian life, often engaging with politics, media, memory, and the quiet contradictions of everyday existence. He is the author of 'Patna Ka Superhero' and the novel 'Left Right Left,' and has also co-authored 'Amritsar: A Year in a Timeless City,' a narrative account of the citys cultural life.


Alongside books, Nihals practice extends to theatre and screenwriting. He has written and directed the stage adaptation of 'Patna Ka Superhero' and written the play 'Department of Joke.' His screen work includes the series 'Shiksha Mandal' and earlier writing for television. He also conducts writing workshops and residencies, and documents daily life through street photography as a parallel form of storytelling.
