Nikhil Mehta is the founder and Artistic Director of Black Box Okhla. Previously he has been the assistant director for Sunday in the Park with George on Broadway starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

He has also assisted Vishal Bhardwaj on development workshops for Monsoon Wedding The Musical and Rangoon. Other credits at Black Box Okhla include The Shakuntala Project and R.W. Fassbinder's Katzelmacher. MFA: Theatre Directing, Columbia University.
