One of the finalists at the 2012 Femina Miss India contest, actress and model Nikita Dutta began her Bollywood journey with a supporting role in the romantic drama Lekar Hum Deewana Dil (2014). In the following year, she made her television debut with the Life OK show Dream Girl (2015-16). Nikita subsequently appeared in the popular Sony TV shows Ek Duje Ke Vaaste (2016) and Haasil (2017-18), the latter of which won her the Lions Gold Award for Favourite Actress in 2018. In the same year, Nikita made her sophomore outing in Bollywood with a pivotal role in the historical sports drama Gold (2018), which recounted the story behind India`s first Olympic gold medal win in hockey post-independence. Her 2019 release includes Kabir Singh.
