A versatile artist, Nirmal Sahadev is an Indian-American director, writer, and actor who primarily works in Malayalam cinema. Having started his career with directing a short film titled Sleep in 2012, he eventually joined hands with the acclaimed Malayalam directed, Shyamaprasad and worked with him as a chief associated director in his 2015 film, Ivide, which also marked his debut as an actor.

After working with Shyamaprasad for a while, Nirmal later worked as an assistant director to Abi Varghese in his 2016 film, Monsoon Mangoes, before eventually collaborating again with Shyamaprasad, this time as a writer for his 2018 film, Hey Jude, a Malayalam drama starring Trisha Krishnan and Nivin Pauly. Sahadev also made his directorial debut in 2018 with the movie Ranam - Detroit Crossing.
