Hailing from Najibabad, Uttar Pradesh, film writer Nisar Akhtar started writing at an early age of twelve. In the year 1998, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his passion for writing. He made his Bollywood debut with Kuchh Kaha Aapne..(2004) and went on to pen screenplay for films like Dhadkanein (2005), Hot Money (2006) and Ek Se Bure Do (2009). Some of his notable works are No Problem (2010), Thank You (2011), and Ready (2011). His other projects include The Dark Side of Life: Mumbai City, for which he also the lyricist and producer.
