Nitin Sawhney is an Indian British musician, producer, and composer who is known for combining Asian and other worldwide influences with elements of jazz and electronica in his compositions. Sawhney who explores the themes of multiculturalism, spirituality, and politics in his compositions, is a patron of several music festivals and educational institutions from around the world. Having started his career by composing independent singles, he made his debut as a composer for films and TV series` with Flight (1995), a TV series, which as aired on BBC. Some of his other notable composition ventures include Ivor The Invisible (2001), Twelfth Night (2003), Living Goddess (2007), Midnight`s Children (2012), and Breathe (2017), a biographical drama film directed by Andy Serkis.
